The Green House location is excellent for exploring the beautiful Galloway area with its superb coastline, lochs and rivers, forests and open countryside. Dogs are welcome. The Green House is set in 10 acres of fields with a stream and a loch where you can fly fish for brown trout. The area is managed to encourage wildlife , wild flowers are abundant and there is a variety of interesting bird life including herons, buzzards, kingfishers and dippers. The Green House is only a few minutes drive from the busy market town of Castle Douglas and just a few minutes walk from the cottage is Springholm vilage with a local shop and pub which serves excellent bar and restaurant meals.
