Self Catering Scottish Holiday Property in Portsoy, Aberdeenshire.
Harbour Rest is a beautifully secluded and well presented property set in the ancient part of the fishing village of Portsoy, adjacent to the Old Shore Inn. Portsoy is one of the earliest and most fascinating ports along the Moray Coast, with many impressive buildings dating back to the end of the 1600"s. A particular speciality of the area was locally quarried green Portsoy marble which is still worked today and a range of products can be seen in the warehouse overlooking the harbour.
Portsoy hosts the hugely popular Traditional Boat Festival each year and offers a perfect base for exploring the local area. There are coastal walks from the village, along which rock pools abound, and dolphins and seals can be seen out to sea. Portsoy is near the Distillery Trail and there are castles and other historic sites to visit nearby.
There are several shops within walking distance of Harbour Rest with a firm favourite being the fish shop along the harbour wall.
