Self Catering Scottish Holiday Cottage near Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway. A spacious, attractive and well appointed cottage situated in a group of three holiday cottages in a superb elevated position surrounded by open farmland just over a mile from the centre of Kirkcudbright. Kirkcudbright, the Artists" town, is situated on the River Dee with its own busy harbour and marina for leisure craft. There are a number of galleries in the town plus regular major art exhibitions. The Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities are a highlight of the summer season but the is always something to see and do in and around the town.
Nearby are a number of safe sandy beaches and rugged rocky coastline. For the sportsman the area is unrivalled with sea, game and coarse fishing (in season) available at several locations plus a nearby adventure centre at Mossyard, a sailing centre and a marina with water ski instruction on nearby Loch Ken. Kirkcudbright has a small swimming pool and there are golf courses throughout the area.
