Airyolland - PORT WILLIAM

Code: AI01WI

Holiday property description

Airyolland is in a superb setting about 50 metres from the shore of Luce Bay with views across to the Rhinns, the Scaur Rocks and the Isle of Man.  The shore here is stones, but there are sandy beaches about 2 miles away.  There is a spacious conservatory where guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.  There are lovely walks in the local area.

This single storey cottage is in an area rich with wildlife and history and offers a superb opportunity for enthusiastic bird watchers.  The harbour village of Port William (with pubs and shops) is just a 5 minute drive away and there are golf courses, horse riding centre, mountain bike tracks and gardens to visit within a half hour's drive.

Visitors' comments

December 2015   Had a great and peaceful week,   As always the cottage was well prepared and equipped.   Had a nice reception thanks to Pat & Peter and thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Hamper.   Thanks for everything. - Green Family - Preston

September 2015   Fantastic two weeks, only one wet day.   Will miss the wonderful sea views.   Can recommend the Galloway fisherman's Cafe/Restaurant next to the Galloway Smokehouse at Carsluith DG8 7DN.   Excellent menu (especially seafood) if you want to eat at lunchtime they start lunches at 11.30 if you go after 12 you will be pushed to get a table!  Not open Monday or in the   evenings.   Thank you for the flowers, milk and cakes, a very thoughtful touch.   We have one very tired dog to take home!  O'Keefe Family West Midlands

August 2015 - Though we only had a one week stay we enjoyed the well-equipped cottage and the beautiful weather at Scotland's South Coast.   We explored almost every historic place in the region which never fails to impress us the landscapes are a must See Dennis Germany

Airyolland Reviews

5 star review

Wonderful area and a very cosy cottage. Waking up to the view of the sea every morning was glorious - just thinking about it is leaving me (holiday) homesick! Be prepared to put in the miles to see the best castles and abbeys, and make sure you don't miss Threave Castle and Dundrennan Abbey - hidden treasures!
Lovely photo, Sorry to hear that you are "holiday home sick" but do please book again quickly!
