'What an amazing week. The cottage is perfect, warm, cosy and stunning. The scenery and 4 legged neighbours were wonderful. Fantastic walks in every direction. We cannot recommend The Borgue Hotel enough, phenomenal food at great prices and the owners were so welcoming. We will be back! The Pirie and Rae Families, Oct 2016

Allanhead Cottage Reviews
1 star reviewThe accommodation needed a thorough clean, the carpets hadn't been hovered, dust everywhere and many cobwebs. Windows needed cleaning and there was a part eaten biscuit in the conservatory. The fridge is wobbly and smelt awful and there was a hair in the top tray of the fridge. The toilet seat in the down stairs bathroom is loose, no vent for steam from showers up or down, and always a smell of soot in the lounge. Also there is no door to the top bedroom leaving you on show to everyone in the kitchen. Not what I would expect for the cost that I paid for. Very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend or visit again its only saving grace was the location it was brilliant the views and the quiet were wonderful - the place itself left much to be desired, its tired. The pot holes on the approach road certainly need addressing. A new cleaner is a must!Thank you for your comments about your holiday, we do understand that cleanliness is very important. We are very sorry to hear that things were not as they should have been when you arrived. All these issues will be addressed, although none were apparent during our routine review of the cottage.
If you should have similar problems in the future please do let us know as soon as possible so that steps may be taken to ensure that they are rectified for you without delay.
