"Our fourth visit to Ashwood Lodge and as usual it was an amazing stay. We enjoyed Dumfries and the view of the coast from the balcony" The O'Gorman's, Feb 2014
"As usual a very relaxing stay in these tranquil surroundings. The total absence of traffic noise is so wonderful and is replaced by birdsong and the wind in the trees. Heaven! Heard a Cuckoo everyday and had usual variety visiting the birdtable." May 2014
"What a beautiful lodge and setting! The week has passed so quickly, really wish we could stay here longer, loved feeding the birds, going for walks and cycles....It really is a lovely part of the country, so peaceful. The kids, 5 years & 21 months absolutely loved it here and wished we could live here forever." The Menzie family, Aug 2014
"What a great house. Fabulously light & sunny. One new neighbour during the week - a new born Belted Galloway calf. Dogs had a great time playing in the garden which was a safe & secure place for them." The Maxwell family, Aug 2014

2 star reviewLovely property clean, well equipped (apart from broken DVD player ) and very relaxing. But why the hedges couldn't be cut? it was a bit like living in a cave. Even from the upstairs balcony you only get glimpses of the magnificent views.
Enjoyed our stay but came to enjoy the view not look at hedges we have them at home. Many thanks for your review. We will pass your comments back to the owners of Ashwood.
