Bar Hill Lodge Reviews
5 star reviewReally enjoyed our stay at Barr hill lodge the lodge was fantastic clean adequately stocked with kitchen equipment,wood/coal,towels.Would stay again.BArHill Lodge has a wonderful woodland setting and the onwers will be very pleased that you enjoyed it so much, hope you can visit again soon.
5 star reviewSpent a fabulous week at Barhill Lodge. Set in a stunning location just inside the forest, with no neighbours. Walk out the door and you are right on a forest path network that goes for miles. It was so important to us to have security for our spaniel "Alfie" and not to be near any main roads. The property was clean and very well presented. The open fire was terrific and a small supply of fuel on arrival was a nice touch. The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking item you could need and was also very clean. A dishwasher and washing machine were included. So much enjoyed a steaming hot bath after long walks. It was lovely sitting in the conservatory watching a fox and its cub wandering into the garden. All sorts of wildlife were all around. Wi-fi also included. A very curteous call from the owner gave the chance of expressing any concens of which, we had absolutely none! Cannot wait to go back!Thank you for letting us know how much you enjoyed your stay at Bar Hill Lodge - says it all.
2 star reviewNot very clean, broken shower, pans all greasy and needed washing. Cot not ready as requested, boost for water not efficient enough for baths for everyone,Sky remote not working DVD player not working,A mirror in the bedroom would have been appreciated, heating inefficient. The owners do try make sure all is in order and it's a great disappointment for them when Bar Hill doesn't delight one of their visitors as much as it does the majority, many of whom are regular returnees. We do apologise for the various issues that you felt there to be with the house; all will be taken into account when we next review the cottage. Feedback is appreciated as it does help to maintain standards of the properties and ensure that any minor items such as TV remotes may be replaced as soon as required.
5 star reviewAbsolutely perfect for us. End of a quiet road with easy access straight into the forest, very ideal for our two little dogs. Enclosed garden and all the seating available made sitting out on the hot days an excellent feature. Lots of natural wildlife, fantastic sunsets, would definitely stay again!
