Craigneuk has a superb position on the edge of Benderloch and has views directly down the firth of Lorn to the mountains of Mull.   This detached house has been modernised and maintained to the highest of standards providing a superb base for a self-catering holiday from which to explore the west coast of Scotland or just sit at the house and enjoy the changing views on the Firth.

The house has spacious accommodation including large sitting room with wood burning stove, large dining room with Rayburn and spacious bedrooms.   Nearly all rooms have a view of the loch. 

The grounds of the house overlook a shingle beach and the shore line and sandy beaches are close by.   There is a superb view point behind the house half way up Ben Lora at the 'Eagles Eyrie' with views up and down the loch.  

The local area provides plentiful opportunities for exploring including visits to Oban Distillery, Neptune's Staircase at Fort William, local cycle routes, or slightly further afield, skiing at the Nevis Range. Walking, climbing and mountain biking are well catered for with Glencoe and Ben Nevis close by, the Nevis Range Ski Centre also has a challenging mountain bike route for those who like white knuckles! 

Sea tours to see seal colonies or Isle hopping tours of Mull, Iona and Staffa are available at Oban.   Alternatively sea kayaking can be arranged more locally. There is also the Scottish Sealife Sanctuary just 3 miles north of Benderloch which is well worth a visit. 

The house provides a superb base for those who wish to have a quiet family holiday or strenuous outdoor activities.

This cottage is in a fantastic location with views out across the bay and to sea. Fully equipped with all we could need and plenty of room. We were a party of 6 but there is space for a lot more with two lounge areas and great dining room with unbeatable views. Local village shop has most you need and there is wonderful beach 1 mile away in Tralee.

Excellent house in beautiful area. House could have been a lot cleaner and no hand towels were provided.
Thank  you for the feedback and apologies over the towles. Do please let us knwo if things are missing as they can easily be provided during your stay.  The cleaning schedule will be checked with the cleaners to ensure standards are maintained.

Beautiful location.
Spacious accommodation for 6 adults.
Some of our party commented on cleanliness-not as clean as you would expect-dust -on bedside tables had obviously been wiped with wet cloth but dust remained and cobwebs,bathrooms not 100% clean(black accumulation in overflow of sinks)fittings and lights not cleaned.
Daughter had bed linen with dirty footprint and other marks on it(bed linen was white-so dirt was easily seen.
Beds were comfortable.and I slept well.
No teapot.
Good shower /bath/ plenty hot water.
Garden furniture some guests perturbed by poor state of garden furniture covered in lichen and general rubbish left in drive and garden when we arrived.
Key holder arranged to meet us at 4pm- but didn't arrive(she had my mobile number)- I ended up phoning her and she said she had left keys hidden and told me how to find them.she then texted me to see if everything was ok ,and advised me on how to close the windows.
Wifi was good in the study and in one side of the property.
We had a really happy week& a lovely holiday .
