Holiday property description
A detached two storey house situated just behind the main street in Kippford. The house has a first-floor balcony commanding superb views over the village and river and with a private, totally enclosed, paved courtyard garden to the rear.
Situated in one of the most popular villages in the Stewartry, Fairport provides excellent family accommodation close to the village facilities including two pub/hotels a seasonal shop and village hall. A very popular sailing centre with a marina and yacht club, the village is set in spectacular surroundings and would make an ideal base for exploring the area. 4 star reviewThe house was well equipped, everything we tried, worked. It was very comfortable, though maybe a little dated. The upstairs Lounge was very comfortable and had lovely views over the village and estuary. Our linen was changed mid holiday, which was a nice extra.
One would have to stay a very long time, to get through the books and jigsaws in the house. Fairport is organised to be animal friendly with easy clean floors. We would go to Fairport again, if the opportunity arose. Kippford is a very clean, pretty and friendly village, and the house is walking distance from the pub! All in all a very good holiday. So good to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at the house and in Kippford, it is lovely. Hope to be able to welcome you back again soon.
2 star reviewWe thought the house was well equipped and furnished. The location and upside down layout was not to our taste. Thanks for the review, sorry to hear that the layout was not quite what you wanted but do hope that you still had a lovely holiday.
4 star reviewGood accommodation, well presented, one or two minor concerns pointed out in a note to owner. The property was behind a pub, with rubbish bins and some rather unsavoury bins full of water and other things clearly visible. Would I go to Kippford again, yes; would I use the same property, probable not, which is a pity because it was not for reasons the owners could resolve.Thank you for your review,. We are sorry that the house was not quite what you wanted but hopefully we will be able to help you with your future holiday plans.
