"We were looking to stay in Central Scotland to visit relatives but Commonwealth Games meant we had to look further afield. Not the most spectacular part of Scotland but the cottage made up for that. Just off A75 so easy access with Annan only 10 mins away. All on one level with the cottage having 2 distinct sides as the pictures show.
One side has kitchen, living room, dining room and main bed with en suite with walk in shower. Other side has 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Surrounded by trees the cottage has a secluded feel. Two lakes on grounds provide a beautiful backdrop alongside the imposing country house. Only saw the owners briefly but this was not a problem as all provided in property. Would definitely recommend." Mr S, July 2014
"Lovely spacious house - ideal for families with children. A homely feel with every creature comfort.Beautifully secluded setting within the private grounds of an historic country estate. Very clean and maintained to an exceptional standard. Centrally heated throughout with log-burning stoves for that cosy evening. Ideally situated for exploring the Borders and within easy access to routes for travelling further north. We have high standards ourselves and we were not disappointed. Already planning our next stay !" Mr C. Nov 14
I can't recommend the cottage highly enough - it was absolutely perfect for our requirements. The setting was beautiful and the house itself very well appointed. Ms K S. July 2015

Gardens Cottage Reviews
5 star reviewThe house was lovely, very spacious and everywhere easily accessed. As we had two year old twins the lack of stairs made it very safe and the outdoor space was perfect for bikes, balls and bubbles. The rooms were all well appointed with everything you could need especially the kitchen. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. We listened to the Owls calling in the evening and gazed at the stars which with no light pollution were stunning we'd never seen so many. There were plenty of things for the children to do and the beaches on the Solway Firth were clean and sandy. If we'd had sun everyday it would have been absolutely perfect, but you can't do anything about the weather. Overall a very lovely spot and very relaxing holiday, would highly recommend it. Thank you.
