4 star reviewLovely cottage. A couple of areas of improvement:
- it would be good to have a manual on the property that contains all the information (Wifi etc)
- after a long journey it would be nice to arrive and NOT have to make your beds up.
- It would make life easier if you didn’t have to bring towels (no hand towels for bathroom)
Apart from that it was a great stay. Spacious with nice layout and gardens.
5 star reviewWe stayed at Kempleton Cottage and the property was probably the best one we have stayed in to date. It was beautiful well equipped and clean and had a beautiful enclosed garden. We had a minor issue with one of the toilets but it was fixed within the hour followed by a phone call from the owner apologising for the inconvenience. It wasn't an inconvenience as the property has 3 bathrooms and a cloakroom. Housekeeper Fiona had left milk in the fridge for us on our arrival which was a lovely touch. I would definitely return and recommend our holiday to family and friends.
5 star reviewLovely cottage with excellent facilities and location to explore the Dumfries and Galloway coastline and forest park. Ample space for a large family and accepts two dogs as well. A real home from home.
