"Heavenly two weeks in this lovely cottage - warm and welcoming, peace and sunshine. A 'must see': splendid new gallery in Kirkcudbright Town Hall." W and C Greenwell, Sunderland.
"We had a fantastic weekend. We could not fault the place. The boys aged 4 and 10 loved the jacuzzi and said they wanted to live here forever, to be honest we do too. The beds were very comfortable, we didn't want to get out. The fireplace was gorgeous." Fraser, Amanda, Mark and Zak, East Kilbride.
"Just right for our family, with plenty of space for everyone. Lazy mornings and great places to visit. Threave Castle and Rockcliffe beach were the highlights. Saw the buck, doe and fawn a couple of times, early morning, crossing the single track road. Am sure we'll be back." Dyson, Jonas and Falaga's families. Bradford and Middlesborough

Kirkbride Old Steading Reviews
4 star reviewThere were some issues with the property, although the location was wonderful - absolute peace. Someone had used the shelf in the oven on the BBQ and not cleaned it. There was over use of cream cleaner, which left a dusty film on the bathroom washbasin, bath and other areas. When we tried to use the DVD player it kept saying "no disc" after we had put one in and the TV would not change from TV to AV. We checked with the instructions but could not get it to work. The twin beds in the larger room were noisy - springs - and are ready for replacement. None of these stopped us having a good holiday there.Thank you for the feedback, the owners are tryihg to simplfy the workings of the TV, it is very good to hear that you still enjoyed your holiday as it is a lovely area.
5 star reviewThis is a cosy cottage, generously equipped, well prepared, very private with lovely garden but friendly neighbours near. The setting is so beautiful even the terrible weather in September could not spoil = even the heavy mists were magical! Many interesting places to visit - including wonderful bookshop in the Mill in Gatehouse. You'll be pleased to hear the magical mists are still with us! Thank you for such a lovely review of Kirkbride Old Steading. It really is in a fantastic location and great for a family holiday (mists and all!)
