Livingstone Cottage Reviews

5 star review

First time we have stayed in Livingstone cottage. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and sitting outside in the garden with our 2 dogs. Its situated off the road up a small track so your not disturbed. Inside the cottage was like stepping back in time , it was very cosy, easy in places as it had stone type tiles on the floors which were great as we had the 2 dogs. Could do will a little TLC but that's not stopping us from making a second booking for next year. Fab location for visiting different places , we found lots of walks and places to explore in the area surrounding the cottage. Thanks you for a lovely stay .

As the cottage was only rated 1 star, we didn't expect outstanding facilities, but the cottage wasn't the cleanest we've stayed in- cobwebs in the corners and grease around the cooker hood etc and chipped crockery (and only 2 chairs provided for the table). But the location was great and it was a very peaceful setting, so a very relaxing break.

Lovely surroundings,nice peaceful getaway.
Only downside was cottage could do with a good clean/and update of electrical appliances(heating/hoover) also new bbq.
Cottage/land was ideal if you want a week away from everything. Dogs loved it and the surrounding land.
Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We shall feedback your comments regarding the cottage to the owner, but we are so glad you had a great time enjoying the peaceful and surrounding area. It's a great part of Scotland to visit.

We hope we will be welcoming you back again in the future.

This is a lovely seculded cottage with a nice garden.woodland around the cottage is really not suitable to walk .The inside of cottage could do with alittle TLC.and a good clean in areas. We stayed in the same cottage last year and they have made improvement with the shower now having a pump to increase water flow.Could do with some new pillows and a few new plates .but overall it's a really great place to be.
