'A very convenient location. We have enjoyed our week here. Perfect weather and a nice surprise with the Jazz Festival' Mr & Mrs Moody, Cheshire. June 16
'We have all loved our week here in Kirkcudbright with so much to do right on the doorstep! The food festival was a great start to the week and the local shops are worth a browse too. Our boys enjoyed a visit to the Cream O' Galloway and the Red Kite feeding station at Ballymack Hill Farm, Laurieston was an amazing experience. Our takeaway from Shaad Kitchen was delicious and we recommend the fresh bread from the bakery just down the road.' The Fletcher Family, Cumbria. Oct 2016

Mackenzie House Reviews
4 star reviewThis was a spacious house on three floors. The old furniture was a surprise but we warmed to it and it was in keeping with the character of the house. All mod cons were provided which made the house very comfortable. The location of the house is perfect for exploring kirkcudbright and surrounding area.
Just a minor point but I do think towels could be provided in this self catering rental.
We would be delighted to rent this house again and thoroughly recommend it.Many thanks for your comments on Mackenzie House. As you say the property does have a vintage feel to it but it's very much in keeping with the character of the house and the fantastic history of the Artist Town of Kirkcudbright.
