No 4 Fleet Street Reviews
2 star reviewDespite other recent reviews on this property we found it clean enough and we had a relaxing week. The cottage has some lovely features but I must add that it needs some updating. The rugs on the landing are threadbare almost and the double bed squeaks constantly if you dare to move a muscle. If you're taking a dog be aware that the back door opens up right next to the neighbours back door so check before you open the door and let your dog out. All in all the cottage is well positioned for all amenities,Thank you for taking time to provide a review, feedback is important as it allows standards to be maintained and repairs where needed attended to without delay. All items have been raised with the owner and will be attended to as soon as possible.
2 star reviewCottage was comfortable although the hot water system was a bit cranky and the dining table keeled over sideways at an alarming angle while we were eating our dinner.Very pleased that the cottage was comfortable, the dinining table will be checked over to see what has happened to it.
2 star reviewNo welcome of any sort. No welcome pack just a few sheets of toilet paper. Dust and cobwebs everywhere, slugs in kitchen, dirty glasses in bathroom, dirty sponge in sink, no soap for washing, no cleaning materials, light bulbs not replaced, mould in teapot. Cupboard were overflowing with magazines, games etc. which fell out as you open the doors. Pages torn out of comments book! BUT, lashings of very hot water, charming garden (apart from garden/patio furniture - filthy), walls nicely decorated and brilliant location. Thanks for the feedback which has been raised with the owner. The house is regularly cleaned and spring cleaned so we are sorry that it did not meet with your expectations in this instance. As this is a traditional terraced town house which retains its original character it is not always easy to spot all the spiders that may cause cobwebs to appear after cleaning. The garden furniture has suffered by being outside over winter and is to be replaced
