A stress free location in Galloway situated in the most spectacular part of South-West Scotland. With the additional benefits of Livery our Borrowmoss Cottages offer quality self-catering cottages for your short stay or holiday in Scotland with equestrian facilities that allow you to bring you much loved horse or other pets with you. Located within Borrowmoss Farm Steading and surrounded by approx 20 acres of farmland, and the stunning scenery with its Cairns and Coastal areas, it's sandy beaches, historical sites, renowned forest parks, breweries and other multiple visitor attractions throughout Wigtownshire we feel Borrowmoss has much to offer a couple, or a family in outdoor pursuits or that semi secluded cosy break away.
Teal is one of three adjoining cottages, Wigeon (WI01WI) and Greylag (GR01WI) being the other two
The cottages are all converted from 18th century Stone Byers. The cottages are on the front of a typical farm Steading with a large secure courtyard and garden area. Easy access to both Wigtown (1 mile) and Newton Stewart (4 miles). All cottages have a newly refurbished interior, New Bathrooms, Wifi, full kitchen facilities including a Microwave/Grill, Hob, Fridge with small Freezer box, with an additional shared wash/drying room/tack room with a shower room and bike storage. There is also an outdoor play area.
There are more than adequate parking facilities and easy local to main road access. We can offer route plans for walkers, and cyclists and a wealth of local information to ensure an eventful stay. We are able to offer kennelling for residents dogs if requested (shooters) and also livery for those looking to hack out or participate in any local equestrian events. We supply all linen and towels, and a basic shopping pack (milk, tea, coffee, juice, bread, breakfast cereals and eggs etc) on request. We can also a supply you with a portable gas BBQs.
Maximum of 4 people per unit - Children are always welcome.
Livery and Kennelling is available.
Smoking NOT permitted. Well behaved pets are allowed.

Our bungalow allowed dogs, so perhaps the state of the chairs & sofas reflected that
However, when we first arrived, our first impression was that the property fell below letting standards
No idea prior to getting there that the only oven was a microwave combi-one or that electricity was on a meter
Shower electrics looked decidedly iffy also
Carpets dirty in places
However we did have a friendly welcome, bungalow was warm & peaceful with plenty of hot water.

Our listing of the property does make clear that the electricity is by coin meter and that the cooking facilities are comprised of a microwave, grill & hob.
