The Heron Reviews
2 star reviewPoorWe were very sorry to hear of the problem at the start of the holiday as the cleaner had missed the booking, many apologies for this. Feedback on things like the oven is very helpful as it does allow any items that need running repairs to be picked up as soon as possible, sometimes it does take a day or two to get repair men out to problems.
5 star reviewLovely house, in a brilliant location. Brilliant village with two good pubs for food. The view from the terrace of the little boats and the views in general were stunning. I'd forgotten how beautiful Scotland is. Castle Douglas was great, with a special thanks to their Tourist Information Centre. Thanks to them we went to the "Alternative Games," the Kirkcudbright Arts and Craft Fair . We had a really great holiday. We are so pleased to hear that you had such a great holiday! We do agree The Heron is a lovely house and in a wonderful spot for taking in those views.
We will be sure to pass on your thanks to the Visitor centre. They have just recently re-opened so will be delighted to hear your comments.
We hope to welcome you back for another stay in the future.

5 star reviewThis is a lovely cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break. The weather was very cold at the time of our visit and it was good. to know we had a nice cosy house to come back to. The outside deck and garden would be very nice in good weather.
Kippford is a lovely village with loads of walking and cycling in the area.
