COVID-19 Update

We are a small, dedicated team who pride ourselves on our commitment to our customers and owners. We have worked hard to achieve Feefo Platinum standard for delivering exceptional customer and we will continue to try to adhere to this even during the crisis that we now have.

With thousands of bookings across 270 properties and their respective owners to liaise with, it’s a huge jigsaw for us to complete, particularly when we can’t be in the office due to the current restrictions. We are trying to be socially responsible & morally fair in discussions with our owners. We have asked them to consider allowing a variation to the booking terms and conditions so that the clause regarding no refunds being made in the case of an epidemic may now be varied during the COVID19 epidemic.

Once we have a response from our owners we will be contacting all our holiday-makers who have not been able to take up their holiday due to the current COVID19 restrictions. In the first instance that will be those holidays falling in the current 3 week period. If this period is extended then we will roll forward until such time as restrictions are lifted.

The apartment provides comfortable family accommodation just a few minutes' walk from the middle of the bustling ancient university town which is steeped in history there are numerous cafes, restaurants and Inns to suit all tastes and provide a resting place while exploring the town extensive history or after a bracing walk along the wonderful west sands; famous in its own right but more so following the filming of Chariots of Fire.

Places not to miss include the Abbey, The Old Course and Golf Museum, St Andrews Sea Life Centre, two wonderful beaches, quaint and interesting seaside villages such as Crail and Pittenweem. Quiet walks around the town leading through peaceful parks and attractive woods. Nearby National Trust for Scotland properties include the wonderful house and gardens at Kellie Castle. Finally, but not least Edinburgh Zoo and the Pandas are only just over an hour by car as is the new V & A centre at Dundee to the north. All, in all so much to do and so little time; so don't rush and make sure that you tarry a while!!

Short breaks are accepted throughout the year; between 1st October - 30th April they are accepted at anytime, between 1st May - 30th September short breaks are accepted for a minimum of 4 nights if booked within 28 days of arrival.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver of £18, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £18 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
