The majestic Connel Bridge with its magnificent “Falls of Lora” rapids – where the tidal sea meets with fresh Loch water creating a kayaker's playground, can all be viewed from your very own lounge window, just sit back and watch the world go by.

Argyll is renowned for its abundance of wildlife on land and Sea with porpoises, golden eagles, otters and even bottlenose dolphins recently spotted under the Connel Bridge.

Al Cala is situated just 4 miles from Oban “Gateway to the Isles” with great public transport links to Oban, Fort William and Glasgow from the bus stop nearby; or for those who feel like a good hike, Beinn Lora is a mere 3 miles away. Walk the path to the top and you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views across Mull, down to Jura and across to Ben Cruachan. Alternatively, for a more relaxed walk, you also have Tralee Beach in the same location.

An Cala is a perfect base for thrill-seekers, wildlife watchers, Munro baggers, foodies and those who just want to sit back and enjoy the view.

The fully equipped kitchen to the back of the cottage boasts an additional conservatory dining area – perfect to sit and chat surrounded by beautiful views as your food cooks. One double bedroom with adjacent shower room with wash basin & WC. First floor; Double Bedroom; Twin Bedroom; Bathroom with over bath shower, Wash Basin & WC.
The private garden, which you can access from the kitchen is ideal for BBQs. Alternatively, there is an excellent gastro pub and restaurant within walking distance.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £20 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
