Barwhin View has an elevated position in the peaceful seaside village of Maidens on the glorious Clyde Coast. The abundance of fantastic ancient castles such as Culzean with it’s beautiful country parks and gardens, and other great visitor attractions not to mention the perfect South Ayrshire long sandy beaches means that you are spoilt for choice for things to do while on holiday.

The house offers spacious and comfortable accommodation on one floor for two people, the first floor is not included in the holiday let and is unoccupied. The furnishings and equipment are to the highest of standards with quiet sun trap patio seating area and adjacent garden. While the kitchen gives excellent space for cooking and eating it is only a short walk to the village’s two excellent restaurants or a short drive to Kirkoswald with a friendly Inn that serves food and also A D Rattray’s 5* Whisky Experience with bookable informal tours.

As Barwhin is in Ayrshire it make a perfect base from which to explore and enjoy the nearby world famous golf courses such as Turnberry, Troon and Old Prestwick, whether golfing or not Turnberry Hotel should not be missed with it’s excellent Afternoon Tea or Sunday Brunch. National sporting events are also a highlight of Ayr which hosts the Scottish Grand National

The culture and history of Scotland is a large feature of Ayrshire with Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns born on the outskirts of Ayr and a way marked Burns Trail to other places that featured in his life including the Burns Museum at Alloway. Day trips are also possible to The Isle of Arran by ferry from Ardrossan. The Island makes a fascinating day out and Brodick Castle and Gardens should not be missed, the ancient seat of the Dukes of Hamilton.

Let weekly Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks are possible but must start on a Saturday.
