Located in the picturesque village of Ringford, the cottage, built in 2012, offers modern luxury with spacious living areas, comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests. Designed with accessibility in mind, the fully equipped self-catering accommodation features walk-in showers throughout, ensuring unrestricted access for wheelchair users.
Bengali is conveniently situated within a 10-minute drive from Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright, and Gatehouse of Fleet. The A75 provides easy access to the rest of Dumfries and Galloway and the Ayrshire coast. Nearby family attractions include the Cocoa Bean Chocolate Factory and Cream o’ Galloway. Additionally, you'll find numerous local beaches, golf courses, walking routes, and the renowned 7Stanes mountain bike trails.
The house boasts a large, modern kitchen with seating for 8 around the dining table and a central kitchen island, making it the perfect heart of the home. This space is ideal for socialising after a day out, where cooking dinner can become a shared event. Guests can relax at the breakfast bar and enjoy views of the garden. The kitchen opens onto a raised timber deck with outdoor dining and seating options. Integrated appliances are included, with an additional fridge freezer available in the garage for extra storage.
The living room is spacious and provides comfortable seating for everyone. Depending on your preference, you can watch the large flatscreen TV, admire the countryside views through the large windows, or cosy up by the log-burning stove.
The cottage features four bedrooms. The large master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, a walk-in wardrobe, and a super king-size bed. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed, fitted wardrobes, and an en-suite with a walk-in shower. A twin room includes a walk-in wardrobe, while the fourth bedroom offers a single bed with a pull-out bed, allowing the house to accommodate 8 guests. The spacious main bathroom features both a bath and a walk-in shower.
Located approximately 1 hour from the English border and around 2 hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh, Bengali is perfect for those wishing to explore nearby and further afield.

The kitchen/dining room includes an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, two fridge/freezers, dishwasher, washer dryer, and French doors leading to the decking. Master Bedroom with a super kingsize (6ft) bed, Freeview TV, and an ensuite with a cubicle shower and toilet. Bedroom 2 offers a kingsize (5ft) bed and an ensuite with a cubicle shower and toilet. Bedroom 3 contains two single (3ft) beds. Bedroom 4 with a single (3ft) bed and a pull-out single (3ft) bed. Family bathroom with a bath, cubicle shower, heated towel rail, and toilet.
Outside: Enclosed is a lawned garden with a timber-decked sitting-out area. Bike store. Private parking. Wheelchair access. Please note: There are 4 steps from the decking to the garden and a stream 15 yards away. The garage provides secure storage for equipment and a place to dry off and keep your gear safe.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £20 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
