Broomlands Farmhouse offers superb luxury holiday accommodation with the interior design completed by the owner, leading Scottish designer, Chantillie House. The sumptuous accommodation is laid out over two floors of a traditional Scottish farmhouse set in a rural location close to the popular town of Moffat. The house is ideal for families and groups of up to 10 and the fabulous character and style of the house makes it superbly suited for multi generation family holidays or special occasions whether it be a wedding party or to celebrate a special birthday.

Moffat is a vibrant, popular town with excellent local shops, hotels and restaurants with easy access to all of southern Scotland and also Edinburgh and Glasgow for days out. It is an attractive spa town and has been popular as a holiday resort since the 17th Century, the town nestles within the southern upland hills and the local area is recognised as being of outstanding natural beauty.

The town has a network of low level walks along the Annan Water and the adjoining hills, theses paths also link to more testing hill walks into the Moffat and Lowther Hills which form the Scottish Southern Uplands. The Southern Upland Way and Annandale Way long distance paths link to the town and there is also easy access to excellent mountain bike routes in the Borders and South West Scotland.

There are two Moffat nature reserves less than a mile from the house, one with a path round the lochan so that the waterfoul can easily be viewed. Outdoor activities are easily available and include horse riding, quad biking and golf, as is the popular 7 Stanes bike trails offering world class mountain biking. Rod hire is available in the town, and there are three fishing ponds at The Green Frog, which also has a soft play area, cafe and and garden centre. There are too many sites of interest to mention all but one not to miss is the Grey Mare’s Tail, Scotland’s highest waterfall now cared for by the National Trust for Scotland and also a trip into the Leadhills to visit Scotland’s highest village and Lead Mining Museum with it’s train.
