Cranley is centrally and conveniently located for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The attractive sandstone house is set in what is arguably Dumfries' most desirable residential street.
Cranley offers refined and spacious holiday accommodation, large rooms all of which have high ceilings combined with large windows making the whole nature of the house light and airy. Despite the spaciousness, the sitting room makes a snug and cosy place to relax in the evening while the garden to the rear in summer time is a suntrap for afternoon and evening dining.
Scotland’s rich history can be fully explored in Dumfries and the surrounding area with sites connected to Robert the Bruce; Robert Burns with one of his houses in the town, a short walk from Cranley and his farm, Ellisland just 5 miles to the north at Holywood.
The town has more recent literary connections. The gardens of Moat Brae House were ‘enchanted lands’ to J.M.Barrie which inspired the world of Peter Pan. Moat Brae is now an excellent visitor centre open to the public to inspire the Peter Pan in everyone (you are never too old to be enchanted). For the children, Cranley is also just 10 mins away form Mabie Farm park, Dalscone Farm Park, and many other attractions.
There are many restaurants, food outlets and supermarkets nearby. Cranley is also conveniently located for the Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.
Dumfries is well-placed to enjoy wildlife-watching, walking and hill-walking, golf, visiting gardens and exploring Caerlaverock Castle and Sweetheart Abbey. There is a wide variety of locations to experience, including forests, coastal areas and sandy beaches.

Cranley accepts bookings with an any day arrival for any number of nights throughout the year.
