NEW TO THE MARKET WITH AVAILABILITY FROM MID MAY

Fabulous holiday accommodation on the seafront of Largs Promenade with sea views and also overlooking the Gogo Burn, Gogo Vale Apartment is on the preferred elevated ground level of a former 1830’s Mansion which was converted to flats in the 1960’s, and recently (2020) comprehensively refurbished to offer luxurious accommodation.

Gogo Vale provides sumptuous holiday accommodation on one floor and is well suited for a range of holidaymakers including families, walkers, cyclists and those just seeking a peaceful setting to enjoy the magnificent uninterrupted views to the Isles of Cumbrae, Arran and beyond.
It is a simply wonderful location for a peaceful holiday, but within walking distance to the bustling and picturesque seaside town of Largs for access to hotels, restaurants including Nardinis Ice Cream and Fish & Chip restaurant, shops, golf courses, bowling greens, tennis courts, indoor sports facilities, Largs Marina and bus/rail links.
Walkers can enjoy gentle strolls along the promenade to take in the sea views and for ferry access to the Isle of Cumbae; or embark on more challenging treks as listed in “walk the highlands” or along the Ayrshire Coastal Path. Cyclists have similar gentle and testing options along the Sustrans network. Tourists can also go further afield by public transport to Glasgow which is within 1 hour by train.

Whilst Shetland may be well known for it’s Viking connections Largs has fame of it’s own from a battle in 1263 when a landing party of Vikings where sent “homewards to think again”. This heritage is remembered by the annual Viking Festival and also in a multi-media Viking-themed attraction at Vikingar. Family days out can also be taken to Kelburn Castle and Country Park.

Outdoor activities are well catered for with a great range of leisure opportunities close by including two golf courses, putting, bowls, play parks and a swimming pool sports complex together with near by Kelburn Castle for exciting family days out.. Water sports are prominent with excellent sailing on the Firth of Clyde from Largs itself and also nearby Inverkip and Prestwick.

Sea tours and safaris can be taken to discover the local sea life and coastal waters including trips to the Islands of Bute and Cumbrae. Cal Mac also offer “Five Ferry” Tickets so that you can make a tour of Arran ; Kintyre Peninsula; Cowl Peninsula and Bute before returning to Ayrshire again. This route has also been adopted by cyclists as the “Five Ferry Challenge” for the fit and active. It is also possible to explore into the Loch Lomond National Park by taking the ferry to Dunoon to the Cowl Peninsula and then onto Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
