COVID-19 Update

We are a small, dedicated team who pride ourselves on our commitment to our customers and owners. We have worked hard to achieve Feefo Platinum standard for delivering exceptional customer and we will continue to try to adhere to this even during the crisis that we now have.

With thousands of bookings across 270 properties and their respective owners to liaise with, it’s a huge jigsaw for us to complete, particularly when we can’t be in the office due to the current restrictions. We are trying to be socially responsible & morally fair in discussions with our owners. We have asked them to consider allowing a variation to the booking terms and conditions so that the clause regarding no refunds being made in the case of an epidemic may now be varied during the COVID19 epidemic.

Once we have a response from our owners we will be contacting all our holiday-makers who have not been able to take up their holiday due to the current COVID19 restrictions. In the first instance that will be those holidays falling in the current 3 week period. If this period is extended then we will roll forward until such time as restrictions are lifted.

Ground floor apartment with free use of hot tub makes a great choice for a long weekend break in this fabulous town, the stunning Solway Firth beaches are also close by as our woodland trails and wide open hills making something for all tastes.If you are not wanting to self cater then there are excellent tearooms, pubs and hotels all serving excellent food on the door step. Gatehouse of Fleet is a vidrant town with a good selection of local shops and the popular Mill on the Fleet Exhibition Centre. The apartment has been recently refurbished to provide well equipped comfortable holiday accommodation with a quiet attractive garden including a unique setting for the hot tub which is set under a trellis carrying a Kiwi bush, the garden is shared with the owners.
There are attractive walks within the Town itself and these join other routes going out of town. The path to the Cally Palace Hotel through the Cally Estate woodlands is not to be missed at snowdrop and bluebell time!
The Solway Coast with superb beaches and walks are a short drive away, in particular the sandy beaches at Sandgreen, Carrick, Cardoness and Mossyard are well worth exploring. Excellent opportunities are available for bird watching or active pursuits such as cycling and walking in the Galloway Forest Park and throughout the local area. Golf and tennis are both provided for in the town while fishing can be taken on lochs and rivers or sea fishing trips can be arranged
At the near by coastal villages. The area provides interest for all including ancient sites such as Threave Castle and Fleet Castle together with chambered cairn at Kirkdale.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver of £18, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £18 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
