Silver Lodge is a quaint traditional cottage refurbished to an excellent standard and tucked away down a quiet lane in the historic town of Creetown. The two bedroom cottage is well equipped and very comfortably furnished including a gas fired stove in the sitting room. Making it a perfect place to relax after a day of adventuring to discover the many delights of this wonderful coastline and contrasting landscapes of natural beauty. The paved patio garden with seating and attractive flower borders and beds is a haven for wild life and catches the sun most of the day, making it an ideal spot to sit to enjoy the tranquillity of the area.
The village has the well known Gem Rock Museum where there is also a cafe, a Heritage Museum and craft shop as well as a general store and butchers together with a pub serving food and drink (currently closed for refurbishment)

The Artists Town of Kirkcudbright is also within a short drive and has a number of art galleries and studios due to connections with the “Glasgow Boys and Girls” historic art groups.
The cottage is conveniently situated for walking in the nearby Galloway Hills and cycling along some of the numerous designated cycle routes in the area, as well as the cycle routes of the Seven Stanes mountain bike tracks including the well known centre at Kirroughtree. National Cycle Route 7 passes close by with a local ride to the Cairnsmore of Fleet National Nature Reserve. The Galloway Forest Park offers numerous walks and bike trails and is a premier Dark Skies Park as it is a superb location for star watching.
