WE ARE DELIGHTED TO WELCOME THIS LUXURIOUS HOUSEBOAT TO OUR PORTFOLIO:

The Camillia is the youngest boat of three in the same ownership moored in Lochrin Basin and along with her sisters and makes a unique place to stay while enjoying a break in Scotland's fabulous capital. She is purpose built by the expert craftsmen at Collingwood Boat Builders, in Liverpool who have used the highest quality materials when making her. She sleeps 8 and is perfect for family groups with luxury centrally heated holiday accommodation including Captains Cabin with double bed, Double bed cabin, Bunk bedroom with full size bunks and a double sofa bed in the spacious lounge, with TVs in each bedroom.

The accommodation has an extensive open plan kitchen with all the mod-cons as well as breakfast bar/dining area. The spacious lounge is complemented by two private deck areas, one with an outdoor dining area, her generous overall dimensions allow the inclusion of a large shower room with a 5ft shower. The general head space of 7’4” and open plan interior provide plenty of space for all with no need to "Duck or Grouse" as you move around. The natural waterside setting provides peace away from the bustling city centre and the deck seating area makes the perfect place to relax and take in the surroundings after a hard day visiting Edinburgh's many sights.

The Camillia is an excellent base from which to explore all of the City’s popular sights with Edinburgh Castle, the bustling Princes Street and Royal Mile being less than a 20 minute walk from her and there are many other city centre attractions close by. Whether your interests are culture, history or contemporary life, all are within easy reach whether on foot or by public transport, the choice includes a range of art galleries such as The Scottish National, National Portrait and Modern Art galleries. Another not to be missed location is the majestic Botanic Gardens, with their tropical and temperate palm glass-houses, arboretum and allotments which provide a welcome break from the bustle of the city centre.

A stroll through the quaint Old Town with it’s narrow wynds and alleys brings to life the ghosts and ghouls who are said to live there. Taking time to enjoy the scenes and atmosphere of the lively Grass Market will revive you with the excellent choice of pubs, restaurants and tea shops. If navigating by Coffee and Cake then you are spoilt for choice as you wander from the Grass Market to the Royal Mile, over Princes Street to the start of the New Town’s Georgian Architecture of George Street and St Andrew’s Square. The route will let you take in the story of Grey Friars Bobby, Princes Street Gardens and Scott Monument (affectionately referred to as “the Gothic Rocket”). If you continue to the top of Carlton Hill or the more strenuous walk up Arthur’s Seat you will be rewarded with peaceful settings and stunning views over Edinburgh’s Spires and Fairytale Castle on it’s rock, to the north is the Firth of Forth and Fife. At the foot of Arthur’s Seat is Holyrood Park lying to the rear of Holyrood Palace and Scottish Parliament building, both of which are worth having on the 'to visit' list.

Lochrin Basin is the historic terminus for the Union Canal and although The Camillia is moored at the end of the basin away from the public moorings, guests still have access to the Basin's private facilities for boaters, which include showers, toilets and self service chargeable laundrette. The attractive walk along the historic Canal is also worth exploring.
