With access via a farm road, the property offers a fantastic 'getaway from it atmosphere' without being too isolated. Or you can simply sit back and watch pheasant and hares from the comfort of the Living room sofa.
The enclosed three quarter acre garden is all that most energetic children could wish for however the Cocoa Bean Chocolate Factory at nearby Tongland, with its very own indoor and outdoor play areas is always a winner. Beautiful sandy beaches can be found at Carrick and Brighouse Bay, where there is also a fantastic golf course and swimming pool. Sandgreen beach, close to where the famous Cream o' Galloway ice cream is made and sold, is also only a short drive away. What an amazing week. The cottage is perfect, warm, cosy and stunning. The scenery and 4 legged neighbours were wonderful. Fantastic walks in every direction. We cannot recommend The Borgue Hotel enough, phenomenal food at great prices and the owners were so welcoming. We will be back! The Pirie and Rae Families
