Southern Scotland

You will be spoilt for choice when trying to pick a location for your holiday in this wonderful area stretching from Dumfries & Galloway and Ayrshire in the West through the Scottish Borders to the East Coast. History and culture is well represented both Scotland’s itself, with strongholds of Robert the Bruce in and around Dumfries together with Scottish English history of the Border wars and Border Reivers.

The countryside throughout the area is highly regarded for its natural beauty with rolling upland hills, extensive woodlands and forests and superb beaches and coastal walks along both the Solway and Clyde Coast. The South West side of the country is of particular note with numerous Botanic Gardens growing exotic species which are only able to survive due to the warming influence of the oceanic gulf stream. The bright lights of Edinburgh and Glasgow are within easy reach allowing you to explore more of all that Scotland has to offer.
