Allonby is a delightful cottage on the Solway Firth. Situated on the sea front in Kippford the cottage offers flexible accommodation, providing cosy comfort for a couple or plenty of space for a family. The cottage has wonderful uninterrupted views over the Urr Estuary, Kippford harbour and the Galloway hills beyond.
To the front of Allonby is a gravelled area with seating and picnic table, perfect to sit out and watch the world go by. To the rear the garden is totally enclosed with a children's play house, BBQ, more garden furniture and views over the estuary and beyond.
Allonby is ideally located for nearby beaches, sailing, mountain biking, golfing, walking, fishing or simply relaxing by the sea. The picturesque village of Kippford has all you need for a wonderful stay; beautiful scenery, good food and plenty to do. There are two good pubs within walking distance both of which serve food and a small seasonal shop. It is also the ideal location to explore the south west of Scotland. Within easy reach there is an inexhaustible supply of National Trust for Scotland properties, RSPB reserves, family activities, historic sites, stunning coastal and hill scenery and bustling market towns to explore.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver of £18, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £20 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
