Cleish Apartment, is a bright and spacious home-from-home for up to five guests, set on the first floor of historic Northcliff House in North Queensferry. Built in 1821 by local businessman Alexander McKonochie, this beautiful 19th-century mansion is now a Category B listed building with Historic Scotland.

From its elevated position, the apartment looks out across the Firth of Forth and offers incredible views of Scotland’s three iconic bridges, the Forth Rail Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge, and the Queensferry Crossing. It’s easy to see why these landmarks are celebrated as some of Scotland’s greatest engineering achievements.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing stay. Unwind in the spacious living area with its large bay window, or enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony as you watch the ever-changing river views and the comings and goings of daily life on the water.
There’s plenty to see and do right on your doorstep. North Queensferry is home to Deep Sea World, Scotland’s National Aquarium a fun day out for all ages where you can walk through Europe’s longest underwater tunnel or even dive with Sand Tiger Sharks!
When you’re ready for a bite to eat, Rankin’s Café is perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch, while The Wee Restaurant offers an intimate fine dining experience featuring local Scottish produce.

Cleish Apartment is perfectly located for exploring the wider area, with easy access to the M90, M9, and M8. Edinburgh is just 14 miles away and easy to reach by car, train the station is only a five-minute walk or by bus from the end of the road. Visit world-famous attractions like Edinburgh Castle, the National Museum of Scotland, Arthur’s Seat, and the Royal Botanic Garden. For more history, take a short trip to Stirling, home to its impressive Castle, the Wallace Monument, and the Battle of Bannockburn Experience. Accommodation for 5 all on the first floor: Accessed through a communal ground floor entrance door into a shared hallway with staircase to:
First Floor: Entrance door to apartment, opens into a spacious hallway leading to Living Room with panoramic views across the Firth of Forth, and dining area; Single bedroom (with Double bed) leads from the Living Room as does a large walk in storage cupboard housing a chest freezer, gas boiler and safe. Fully fitted kitchen with double doors to a small balcony making the most of the stunning views of the Forth; King size bedroom with seating area from which to enjoy the scenic views; Family Bathroom with Bath, over bath Shower, Wash Basin and Toilet; Super King size bedroom (which can become a Twin room on request, please indicate your preference at time of booking).

Outside: Ample tarmac parking area; Peaceful front lawned area with seating to enjoy the surrounding views.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £20 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
