Star gazing is possible from the house itself but a trip to the nearby Galloway Forest Park also provides excellent conditions with it’s dark sky status. The forest is also superb for bird and wildlife watching, walking and of course Mountain Biking on the Forestry Commission's 7 Stanes trails.
