RECENTLY ADDED TO OUR PORTFOLIO FOR 2026!

Set within the peaceful rural surroundings of Lerags Glen, Penlarch is a charming countryside cottage offering a beautiful Highland escape just 10 minutes from Oban. Surrounded by rolling hills, open skies and far-reaching views, the property provides the perfect balance of seclusion, comfort and convenience — ideal for guests looking to relax, reconnect and explore the west coast.

Recently renovated, Penlarch has been thoughtfully designed to create a warm, spacious and welcoming holiday home. The generous dining and lounge area is filled with natural light, with large windows framing the surrounding landscape and bringing the outdoors in. It is a wonderful space for gathering with family or friends, whether you are enjoying a quiet morning coffee, sharing meals or relaxing after a day of exploring.

Step through the patio doors from the lounge and discover one of Penlarch’s standout features — a luxurious outdoor wellness area designed for complete relaxation. Guests can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub or enjoy the outdoor hot and cold bath, all while taking in views down Lerags Glen towards Loch Feochan. For the full spa-style experience, there is also a panoramic-window wood-fired sauna and a refreshing cold-water soaking bucket, perfect after a long walk or simply as part of a slower, indulgent day at the cottage.

Sleeping 7–8 guests across four bedrooms, Penlarch is well-suited to families, groups of friends or multi-generational stays. The accommodation includes a master bedroom with an en-suite and a separate family bathroom for added convenience. A generous utility room provides practical space after outdoor adventures, with plenty of room for coats, muddy boots, walking gear and drying off pets.

The local area offers plenty to enjoy, whether you are looking for gentle countryside walks, scenic lochside views or days out exploring Oban and the surrounding coast. Just a 15-minute walk from the cottage, the Barn Bar serves hearty pub meals and makes a great stop before or after a walk towards the loch. Nearby Oban offers a fantastic choice of restaurants, cafés, seafood spots, independent shops and harbourfront attractions, as well as ferry links to the islands for memorable day trips.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, the area is ideal for walking, cycling, wildlife spotting and discovering the dramatic scenery of Scotland’s west coast. Guests can explore nearby castles, coastal routes, beaches, gardens and historic sites, or simply enjoy the peace and privacy of the glen from the comfort of the cottage.
Although Penlarch feels private and secluded within its own grounds, it can also work well for larger family gatherings or group holidays. Nearby accommodation, such as Blacksheep Cottage, can be booked alongside Penlarch, allowing everyone to stay close together while still having their own space to relax and unwind at the end of the day.

Whether you are planning a family holiday, a group getaway, or a peaceful countryside retreat, Penlarch offers a spacious, comfortable, and beautifully located base for enjoying Lerags Glen, Oban, and the wider west coast.
