In a superb location with views out over the adjoining fields and over Dalbeattie to the hills beyond. Modernised and renovated to an excellent standard and provides well laid out comfortable accommodation for families and groups. There is a spacious conservatory to the front which allows you to sit and enjoy the views from the house. The cottage is next to the owner's farmhouse on a working farm and has easy access to all local leisure opportunities including the Solway Coast with its excellent beaches and cliff top walks. The Forestry Commissions 7Stanes Mountain Biking Routes are also close by with the nearest at Dalbeattie Woods which is approximately 1 & a half miles from the cottage.

Southern Scotland is steeped in history and has many historical sites worthy of note and visit including sites such as Caelaverock Castle at Dumfries, the peaceful popular village of New Abbey with the Sweetheart Abbey and the Historic Scotland Corn Mill or a leisurely walk through the National Trust for Scotland Gardens at Threave. More active pursuits can be followed at Kippford a popular sailing venue or on Loch Ken which has various water sports including water skiing. Throughout the area there endless opportunities for seeing the wonderful wildlife including red squirrels, deer and varied bird life including red kites at the well known Red Kite Trail at Laurieston.

If you want to travel slightly further afield Ayr, Glasgow and Edinburgh are all within easy reach being little over an hour and a half drives. Golf is of course readily available with a Championship Course at Southerness being only about eight miles from the cottage whilst for more challenging courses Turnberry is also within easy reach.

The cottage is nicely presented and whatever you activities or interest it makes a superb base for a holiday whatever the season.
