Double patio doors open onto a private deck with a BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining and unwinding in the tranquil surroundings. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with modern conveniences, perfect to prepare a family meal before retiring to the patio and soaking in the peaceful surroundings as the evening draws in. With two king-size bedrooms, both of which can be split into singles, The Bothy is ideal for couples, friends, or families. Nestled in the stunning Royal Deeside, Cairnton Farm is the perfect base for exploring the area’s natural beauty, history, and culture. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast, history buff, or just seeking a peaceful getaway, there’s something for everyone.

A short drive from Cairnton Farm, the Cairngorms National Park offers some of Scotland’s most breathtaking landscapes. From hiking and cycling to wildlife watching, the park is an outdoor lover's paradise, with trails suitable for all levels. Craigievar Castle, just a 15 min drive away and Crathes Castle, located near Banchory, is a must-visit for its rich history, stunning walled gardens, and lovely woodland trails.

For golf lovers, Banchory Golf Club provides a scenic 18-hole course with beautiful views of Royal Deeside. If you prefer a more active exploration, the Deeside Railway Line is now a scenic walking and cycling path, offering peaceful routes through forests, fields, and along the River Dee.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £20 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
