This cosy Eco Pod with its own large private Hot Tub is ideal for a single person or cosy couples break. Situated within the Loch Lomond National Park with walks and cycle rides from the door, Wee Acorn is ideally located for exploring all that Loch Lomond and Trossachs offers. Approximately 6 miles from Balloch with all of the amenities of a small town and about 25 miles from the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow.

Loch Lomond and the Trossachs was Scotland’s first National Park with its gateway at Lomond Shore at nearby Balloch. Here you can discover the story of Scotland’s largest inland body of water (by surface area). Walking, sailing, cruising, angling, paddle boarding all offer experiences of Loch Lomond, watched over by the peak of Ben Lomond.

For those looking to explore Scotland’s rich history and culture the city of Stirling is within a 40 minute drive. Stirling Castle has played a key role in Scotland’s history over the centuries and is well worth a visit, as are the views from The Wallace Monument surveying the lands where William Wallace victoriously led his troops at the battle of Stirling Bridge. With more colourful history at the Battle of Bannock Burn where Robert the Bruce famously defeated King Edward II of England.

This being Scotland golf is never far away with several courses nearby, including 18 hole course at Buchanan and Balfron with Ross Priory and Strathendrick both offering 9 hole course. For those looking for more sedate activities, a day out to Blair Drummond Safari Park is within easy reach, as is Ballcoh Country Park or why not take a leisurely cruise on Loch Lomond or nearby Loch Katrine. For the thrill seekers amongst us, there are numerous opportunities for Mountain Biking, Hill climbing – Ben Lomond is Scotland’s most southerly Munro, whilst nearby Conic Hill offers fabulous views across the surrounding countryside. If you have a head for heights Go Ape in Aberfoyle offers treetop challenges and two of the longest zip lines in the UK. Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday, history and culture or outdoor adventure there really is something for everyone.
