Approximately 6 miles from Balloch with all of the amenities of a small town and about 25 miles from the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow.
Loch Lomond and the Trossachs was Scotland’s first National Park with its gateway at Lomond Shore at nearby Balloch. Here you can discover the story of Scotland’s largest inland body of water (by surface area). Walking, sailing, cruising, angling, paddle boarding all offer experiences of Loch Lomond, watched over by the peak of Ben Lomond.
For those looking to explore Scotland’s rich history and culture the city of Stirling is within a 40 minute drive. Stirling Castle has played a key role in Scotland’s history over the centuries and is well worth a visit, as are the views from The Wallace Monument surveying the lands where William Wallace victoriously led his troops at the battle of Stirling Bridge. With more colourful history at the Battle of Bannock Burn where Robert the Bruce famously defeated King Edward II of England.
This being Scotland golf is never far away with several courses nearby, including 18 hole course at Buchanan and Balfron with Ross Priory and Strathendrick both offering 9 hole course. For those looking for more sedate activities, a day out to Blair Drummond Safari Park is within easy reach, as is Ballcoh Country Park or why not take a leisurely cruise on Loch Lomond or nearby Loch Katrine.
