Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your query either by phone or email, we will be happy to assist you.

We know that your experience shouldn’t be spoiled by worrying about whether your holiday can go ahead, so we guarantee that if COVID Restriction Legislation stops you taking your holiday then we will contact you to discuss a change of date or provide you with a voucher to re-book a holiday anytime until to 5th January 2023 or send you a refund. You can book your holiday with Discover Scotland with confidence, so don’t delay your booking and if you have any questions or need help then do please contact us.

Current Scottish Protection Levels mean that you may holiday as a single household from 26th April and from 17th May this changes to 2 households/max 4 people over 12yrs old.

In early June this will be relaxed to 3 households/max 6 people.

Late June the limit will be updated to 4 households/max 8 people over 12rs old; children under 11 yrs old don’t count towards the number limit.

A detached house in excellent condition situated directly on the seafront in Rockcliffe. The house has a wonderful sun lounge (pictured) for all year round warmth and spectacular views of Rough and Heston Islands. The property has an exciting large steep rock garden to the side and rear, with outdoor seating overlooking the bay, perfect for a sunny day.
Rockcliffe itself is one of the most popular destinations for holidays in South West Scotland. The close proximity of the safe sandy beach which is ideal for swimming and fishing, and the secluded garden to the front make this an ideal holiday base. The nearby village of Kippford, the sailing centre for the South West of Scotland, has two pubs both serving food. There is a delightful walk between Rockcliffe and Kippford along the Jubilee Path through land owned by the National Trust for Scotland. Golf courses abound in the area and the local stage of the 7Stanes Mountain Bike Network is within a fifteen minute drive of the house at Dalbeattie with others slightly further afield at Mabie & Ae Forests in Dumfries.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver of £18, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification.
