COVID-19 Update

We are a small, dedicated team who pride ourselves on our commitment to our customers and owners. We have worked hard to achieve Feefo Platinum standard for delivering exceptional customer and we will continue to try and adhere to this even during the current crisis. We are trying to be socially responsible & morally fair in discussions with our holiday-makers and cottage owners alike.

We will be contacting all our holiday-makers who are not able to take up their holiday due to the COVID19 restrictions to issue a voucher which will allow them to re-book an alternative date. This is being undertaken on a week by week basis rolling forward.  If you have a booking and have not been contacted yet then please be patient, please don’t contact us unless it is more than 7 days after your booked arrival date.

With thousands of bookings across 270 properties and their respective owners to liaise with, it’s a huge jigsaw for us to complete, particularly when we can’t be in the office due to the current restrictions. This does mean that we are not able to respond in our usual quick & efficient way.

Konkers, our new static caravan, is situated on our caravan park (next to Pebbles). It is an ideal base to enjoy the open grass areas of the park and has easy access to our safe and sandy beaches.
Mossyard, home of the McConchie family for five generations, is a traditional working farm situated in a magnificent coastal location with the beautiful backdrop of the Galloway Hills. Mossyard, located 4 miles west of Gatehouse of Fleet, is in the heart of rural Dumfries & Galloway, south west Scotland.

We hope you will enjoy everything that will make your stay feel like home from home. We have ensured there are all the comforts you need for a truly relaxing break. There are a large selection of DVD's, books and games for your entertainment and a welcome basket of local produce will await you on arrival. We pride ourselves in providing you with the highest quality equipment, the finest cotton bed linen and luxurious towels - all the small touches that will make your holiday perfect.

Accessibility
Konkers is not graded formally for disabled use. We do however take great care in making sure that we offer comfortable accommodation for elderly guests, ambulant disabled and guests with frail mobility. You can drive right up to the door. There is grass outside the property. There are three steps to get up into the property. There is a small 'lip' on the threshold of the doorway. Once you are inside the property the rest of the accommodation is all one level with no more steps.

Dog Friendly Accommodation
We welcome dogs at Mossyard and are happy for them to join you in Konkers. Dogs are charged at £20.00 per dog per week. Maximum of 2 dogs.

Food Shopping & Provisions
Asda & Tesco will deliver to Mossyard.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver of £18, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £18 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
