Mallaig makes a wonderful holiday base and just a short walk to the sandy beach in the picturesque village of Rockcliffe. The cottage has a private setting with a spacious garden and large deck giving wonderful panoramic views to the sea.
The property is warm and cosy being fully double glazed with electric heating and a wood burning stove. The spacious fully fitted kitchen has all you need for the odd night that you are dining in, which may be every night to be able to enjoy the views from the deck!

Enjoying a considerable degree of seclusion, yet only five minutes' walk from the beach, this is the perfect place for a family holiday at any time of year. Located in one of the most popular villages in the area where, apart from the beach, there is a superb walk to the nearby village of Kippford which is the sailing centre for the area and which has two excellent pubs both of which serve food. There are several nearby golf courses, plenty of opportunities for sea, game and coarse fishing and for keen cyclists;
the 7 Stanes Mountain Bike Network is within a ten minute drive, or the trails can be accessed via mountain bike entry to the forest only 1.5 miles away.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver of £18, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £18 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
