Cologin is a spacious traditional farmhouse offering accommodation for multi generation family holidays or larger groups with a large south facing enclosed garden with patio. The house is situated in the scenic Lerags Glen ensuring peace and privacy but is still less than 3 miles from the vibrant harbour town of Oban, with views across open farmland and walks from the door. Within the same site there is a small children’s play area and The Barn, a rustic pub with plenty of character. A good place to catch up over a drink and tasty local fare following the days adventures.
Oban, known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, has a wide range of seafood & fish restaurants and an excellent fish shop if you wish to cook your own. A visit to the Seafood Shack on the quayside is a must for those who love their shellfish. The town is otherwise known as the Gateway to the Isles with the Calmac ferry terminal giving access to trips to Mull, Colonsay, Tiree, Lismore and Barra.
The town has an array of independent shops, including the must visit Oban Chocolate Shop, a distillery, a selection of supermarkets, a cinema, golf course, swimming pool and a selection of other land and water-based sports facilities. With its own sandy beach for those looking for a traditional ‘seaside holiday’, numerous historical sites within easy reach including Dun staffage Castle, Inveraray Jail and for the horticulturist’s visits to Inveraray Castle & Gardens and Arduaine Gardens are a must. There really is plenty for all ages to explore.

Ground floor: Entrance hall leading to Sitting Room with double sided Wood burning Stove (initial supply of logs provided), TV with DVD Player, leading into the Dining Room with patio doors to a decked area with wood fired Hot Tub and steps down to the lawned garden; traditional farmhouse kitchen with double oven and large hob, microwave, American style Fridge Freezer, TV, oil fired Esse cooker (winter time only), TV. Cloakroom with toilet & wash basin; Super King bedroom with zip n link beds which can become 2 singles with TV and ensuite shower room.
First floor: Double bedroom (with additional day bed to give the option of a twin); Twin bedroom with wash hand basin; Double bedroom; King size bedroom (with additional day bed to give the option of a twin) with TV and ensuite shower room; Family bathroom with 4 piece suite comprising of Wash Basin, WC, Bidet and Bath with over bath shower; 2nd bathroom comprising of Wash Basin, WC, Bath with over bath shower.

Damage Deposit for care of property

All holiday-makers booking a holiday are required to pay either a Damage Deposit, £150 or as noted in the property listing details, or Damage Deposit waiver of £18, whichever is selected is required to be paid with the balance payment of the holiday. Where selected the Damage Deposit will be held by Discover Scotland to be applied against the reasonable costs of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, bedding and towels damaged or soiled other than by normal wear and tear during the holiday. The Damage Deposit, less any reasonable charges, will be returned within 14 days of the departure date. Where any costs exceed the Damage Deposit the holiday-maker will pay such excess as notified to them by Discover Scotland within 14 days of notification. Where the holiday-maker has agreed to pay the Damage Deposit Waiver the Damage Deposit is not payable. This amount is non-refundable. If the cost of any damage or breakages exceeds the applicable Damage Deposit value for the property, then the holiday-maker will be liable for any additional costs. Any such excess will be notified to them by Discover Scotland and due for payment within 14 days of notification.

All bookings require either a refundable Damage Deposit £150 or as per the property details or £18 non refundable Damage Deposit Waiver.
